ARE BULLET TRAINS NEEDED IN INDIA?

Hi folks! I'm back again with another interesting topic. Hope you like it!
As we all know that Indian Railways are the best and cheapest way for travelling, in India! The first Indian railway was established in 1854… from Mumbai to Thane.

An average time taken to travel from Mumbai to Ahmedabad is 7 hours. In order to overcome long travelling, Bullet trains concept arised in India.
Now, as India is developing, it's technology is moving forward. Our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has initiated for HSR( High speed Rail) in India, with the help for "Shinkansen Technology." And this Shinkansen Technology is actually to support "Make In India" programme!

Bullet Trains: (guesstimates)
  • High speed travel.
  • Speed -  320kmph.
  • 10-16 coaches.
  • 1300-1600 passengers.
  • Good food quality.
  • No time delays.
  • Price- 1.5 times higher than first class A/C tickets.
  • From Mumbai to Ahmedabad it takes 7 hours travelling time through Rajdhani Express, but through bullet trains, it will probably take 2 hours and 7 minutes.
As every coin has two sides, establishing bullet trains also has its pros and cons.
How bullet trains will be benefitted to Indians?
  1. Fastest growing technology.
  2. Time saving.
  3. Cost effective.
  4. Those who fear travelling by air, may prefer aeroplane to bullet train.
  5. They are eco friendly in nature.
  6. It may create new jobs to people.
  7. Pride to Indians.
As we know, India is a developing country, and the railways are running in losses. Though the prices are being increased day by day, still Indian railways are not showing up to their mark. Investment on bullet trains is Rs.97636cr approximately. China, being a developing country, but technologically far ahead from India, are deciding to shut down HSR due to constant losses.
Instead of heavy investments on HSR, the Indian government can invest in:"Social infrastructure and poverty eradication," which will definitely help Indians.
But at the same time, I also get reminded of "No Risk, No reward".
So, Let us hope for the best.
Thank you all. Please do vote and give your valuable Suggestions. Constructive criticism is always welcome. And I will be back with more topics. Keep following my blogs. Thank you. Keep Smiling:-)
